I have been in and out of the blog posting the random-est things and totally avoiding We Got Married posts. “Why?”, you ask? Admittedly I was getting bored with the show. The balance of the couples is all wrong. We need a comic relief couple! Anyway, just a little recap of what has been going on on the show.
Jung Chi and Jung In are tying the knot FOR REAL. They have ended their stint on We Got Married. Apparently being on the show has given them the jolt they need to walk down the aisle. I wish they’d let We Got Married to film their real wedding. I wonder how wacky it is going to be.
Battle of the nerves! All couples are not willing to disclose their pictorial theme and are making up fake silly themes. Am I crazy for loving Jinwoon without bangs? Taemin and Naeun arrive a little later with umbrella in hand. Taemin announces that he’s afraid that Naeun will get a sunburn. Upon hearing this, Junhee gets jealous and tells Jinwoon that she too wants an umbrella. Naeun and Taemin tell everyone that they are doing a Teletubbies themed photo shoot. It actually suits these babies well, no?
I would hate standing next to Junhee for a photo shoot. She’s so captivating! She also seem to have endless poses built into her body.
So it’s time for the babies of the WGM family to have their photo shoot! They are both in hair and makeup getting dolled up for the shoot. Taemin finishes up with hair and makeup and takes a peek at Naeun from behind a divider. They have their awkward and shy greeting where Taemin tries to be the man to keep the conversation flowing. Naeun admits to feeling awkward at seeing him and Taemin asks if he should just go home. Of course, she says no.
Danny Ahn feels that this exchange is a little off and wonders if they have been in contact with each other since they’ve exchanged phone numbers previously. His suspicion was right because Taemin then asks Naeun if it felt awkward talking to him on the phone. I’m giggling at the hosts’ reaction in the studio from hearing that they called each other. Naeun says that it isn’t awkward over the phone, so Taemin walks behind the divider and fakes a phone call. “Hello? Is it awkward now?” Oh Taemin, Taemin. He walks out from behind the divider and she says it’s awkward again. She doesn’t wanna see you, love. 😉 He insists that they sit face to face. Good job, Taemin. Continue reading
Warning: Picture heavy post! The SHINee boys are so much fun that I cannot resist inserting lots of photos for this post. Enjoy!
From the last episode, Taemin and Naeun received a mission card informing them that the SHINee brothers / brother-in-laws will be coming over for a visit. Taemin and Naeun have tiny breakdowns when they heard the news. They head on home to prepare a good meal for the visitors. Contrary to the last time she was in the kitchen, this time around Naeun seems to be really good at figuring out what to do around the kitchen. Taemin is pretty impressed that her learning curve was so steep (or more like she’s learning it like a miracle).
Secretly, Naeun has been practicing how to cook with two other A Pink members. There is a home video of them learning to make kalbi jjim (braised ribs). They are so adorable singing numerous SHINee songs while mimicking the dance moves. Naeun seems to be unfazed for a few songs but joined in belting out the last song with butchered lyrics about the braised ribs. It’s a pretty good investment on her part because her SHINee brother-in-laws are coming to visit and she’ll be able to dish out something decent.
After visiting their high school, they head out to a place which Taemin only identifies as “MD”. They take bus number 143 to their destination and occupying the last row of seats on the bus. Kudos to the camera team for installing all those cameras in a short amount of time. They have a little chat on the bus talking about the activities they would participate in after school. As kids, both Taemin and Naeun go to the playground after school. Taemin declares himself to be the master of the playground. The conversation diverted to an odd topic where Taemin explains how there was an 800-year old gingko tree just right outside his window of the house he used to live in. They both found a new common love: gingko nuts. To them, it is delicious though Taemin has heard from some people that it tastes like boogers. Eew… No, gingko nuts taste yummo! Boogers can never taste that good… Yuck. Continue reading
It is Taemin and Naeun’s second meeting as a couple and Taemin is late, late, late! Uh-oh. A big no-no to keep a girl waiting! He is tied up at the live broadcast of some music show. It’s got to be one of the four main ones. A little off topic, but Shinee’s comeback song, Dream Girl, is pretty catchy and their choreography with the mic stands is fun to watch. Naeun is waiting for Taemin at a beautiful café. If I were a celeb, I would totally jump at the chance of doing WGM just because I’ll get to go to the cutest cafés, restaurants and fantastic “honeymoon” destinations. This is their second meeting as an “item” so Naeun is still pretty nervous about meeting Taemin. She’s worried that there might be some awkward moments between them. While Naeun was in deep thought (or acting like she is), Taemin arrives and snorts when he comes close to her. It breaks the silence and kills a bit of the awkwardness because Naeun giggles at the snort.
“Oh no! Oh no! Oh no! I’m late! I’m late!” as the White Rabbit said. This recap is two weeks too late. But at least it’s finally here? So we’ll dive straight into the episode! Taemin and Naeun don’t get to go parasailing because the winds and waves are working against them. Instead, they go jet boating.
Taemin who seemed to be the daredevil turn out to be the wuss between the two. Relatively. Naeun sure have a huge appetite for speed and extreme sports. I would have lost my appetite for the whole day if I need to go on that ride. Wait a minute, I think I’ve just found a great diet plan. They head on out to the boat and Naeun looks so much calmer than Taemin. While getting into the boat, Taemin holds Naeun’s hand to help her balance. Taemin has this blank look on his face, trying to hide is fear. Continue reading
