The weather has been cold the past few months given that it’s winter. My yummy Nutella chocolate and hazelnut spread is clumpy and hard from the cold. It puts a frown on my face in the morning trying to spread it on my toast. Bear with me while I have my crazy moment with this post.
Brainstorming: How to Melt Nutella
Well first of all it is NOT a good idea to microwave it. Putting plastic in the microwave is a very bad idea no matter how short the duration. It is detrimental to your health and there is a risk of poisoning.
Option 1
Heat butter knife in your coffee. A hot knife cuts through Nutella easily and helps it spread nicely. I have to tell you that I’ve done it a few times and it works.
Option 2
Put Nutella in a bowl of hot water. A hot water bath should give it enough heat to cause it to melt and be spreadable.
Option 3
Stir it with a spoon. The friction might generate enough heat to melt the chocolate hazelnut spread.
Option 4
Spoon some Nutella out, put it in a microwave safe dish and give it a 15 second zap in the microwave. *whines* But I don’t want to do so many dishes… *pout*
Option 5
Give up. Attack with a spoon and eat it out of the jar as is.
You have made the beginning of my 20 hour fast a more pleasurable experience for having melted nutella with my crepe.
